Step One: Motivation Required

Recently I came across this video. It’s a motivational speech that has been edited with melodramatic music behind it.

It makes you want to get started. That’s what motivation is all about, right?

There is just something about putting music behind a speech that makes it 10X more epic!

Work hard and you can have whatever it is you want – Eric Thomas

Motivation fades like the fog in the morning. A video like this can be a help in motivating us to start or to keep going.

Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter. – Francis Chan

Motivation gets you off the couch. It helps you buy the running shoes and makes you write your goals down on paper. The energy of motivation is powerful but very short lived.

If you don’t decide why you are doing what you are doing, the power of motivation will evaporate and you will retreat any ground you had taken towards you dreams.

It’s important to remember that motivation is the mountaintop experience. The truth is that we spend most of our time in the valley, which is why it’s important that we anchor our dreams in the reality that it takes continued hard work and persistence to get where we want to be.

I hope you get motivated! I hope you are inspired to take your next step forward. I hope that when the emotions of the pumped up motivation subside the true reason you are living carries you forward.

How can you use the motivation in this video to take permanent steps towards your dreams?
